Martha Marie Mason, or Marti as you'll probably come to know her, is new to the area of Maine. She moved across country from Washington the day she turned eighteen to be closer to her best friend and to try to get a better life for herself. Marti is an eighteen year old, college freshman on a scholarship and hopes to pursue a career in journalism. Though very cautious or shy at first, Marti is a sweetheart and quite talkative when you get to know her. She's very loyal and loves to help people out.

As mentioned, Marti comes off as a very shy person when you first meet her. She's cautious about who she trusts. But, she is also one of the most loyal people you'll ever meet. She's a sweetheart and is hoping to start fresh here in Maine. She moved to Maine to be closer to a good friend of her's that she met while young -one of the few people she actually trusted. So, that friend is currently needed. They'd have to be around eighteen to twenty-one or so. As for other friends, I'm open to whatever. I'm thinking that she might make another best friend or two in Friendship sooner or later. Since, she is wanting to start fresh and all. But, Marti isn't one to have a million best friends. Maybe one to three best friends and some other friends? I'm open for whatever.

Marti really isn't one for flings. She's a sucker for cute boys, but hates horribly sappy romance movies or novels. But, I could see her having some crushes or a relationship or two. As I've mentioned, though, it takes her a bit to trust someone. She'd probably be most likely to date a friend, but she'll give most people who seem decent a chance. Once again, just post. I'm completely open here.

So I can see these two being friends pretty easily. Ashlee use to be a pretty shy girl before she reached her high school years so she can easily connect with Martha. She's lived in Friendship for her entire life so obviously she couldn't be the best friend from where Martha is from, but I think after a while the two of them could easily be good friends.

i like the idea. =) after reading ashlee's profile, i think marti could definitely relate to ashlee. maybe ashlee was one of the first few people marti met on campus and though marti was pretty shy, ashlee was still friendly. and then, after a while, marti started to warm up to her and now considers her a good friend. maybe an older-sister type figure? i could also see marti appreciating the fact that ashlee is a creative writing major, which would be pretty similar to her own major of journalism. something like that. =) would you like to do a thread for them and see how that goes?

She is just too adorable! I can probably see Olivia and Martha being good friends and Olivia may be there to sorta look out for Martha considering she's a freshman. But she does not let that give her any advantages either, meaning Olivia would see the two of them as more as friends than anything else.

i definitely like that idea. marti would definitely appreciate having someone there who just kind of looks out for her, and i think that marti would definitely try to be of help to olivia whenever possible, too, since olivia does so for marti. i think they'd make good friends, since they seem to be somewhat similar. =) i don't know. maybe we could try a thread and see how things work? any suggestions?
