Ashlee stepped out of her Volkswagen Beetle and popped the trunk, shutting her door and going to the back to grab her bag. A warm coffee was in one hand and she balanced it on the edge of her trunk as she gathered her bag and a couple of pens that had fallen out, stuffing them back into her bag before picking up her coffee again. With her bag now secured on her shoulder the brunette reached up and closed her trunk, checking to make sure that it was locked before making her way to the school. She took a small sip and smiled, pleased that the warmth from the coffee was able to seep into her body. Despite the fact that it was mid-January and there was still snow covering the ground it was warmer than it had been the past couple of days; especially for the morning.

She was on her way to her first (and only) class of the day, but she didn't today was going to be quite like the past days. Supposedly they had a new professor, or maybe she was a sub? Ashlee wasn't completely sure and part of her wondered if it wasn't just a little rumor that was going around. Reaching the doors she was about to open them when it swung inward and the senior looked up, a bright smile crossing her face at the young man who had opened it for her. He was adorable, almost in that puppy way, and he smiled back, causing dimples to appear at his cheeks. Ashlee said a quick "thank you" before making her way up the stairs and down the hallway. She felt like maybe she was rushing a little bit since she was still a half hour early for the class, but it was always nice to get comfortable and situated before other people began showing up. And if there was a new teacher then she wanted to try and get a good read on her (or him) without distractions.

Taking another sip of her coffee Ashlee peeked her head into the classroom and found it completely empty. Entering she went up to the middle and set her coffee and her bag down, taking off her jacket and putting on the back of her chair. Taking a second to pull her hair into a ponytail, the brunette took a seat and pulled out a notebook and pen, leaning back casually and taking a look around. Nothing looked different, though that wasn't too surprising, and she let out a small sigh before feeling her phone go off. Frowning, Ashlee wondered who could possibly be calling her this early and she reached into her pocket, shaking her head when she read the words "mom." "Hey mom."

Normally her mother only called her if there was something wrong or if she wanted to check in on her, but this time it was neither. No, her mother had called just to talk, and while the thought was sweet and all Ashlee still found herself rolling her eyes. Unfortunately when her mother started talking there was no stopping her, which might be where Ashlee got her own talkative personality from. Though she was no where near as bad as her mom...or so she hoped. "Mom...I have to go. Class is going to start soon." Okay so that wasn't really true, there was still quite a bit of time before her class started, but Ashlee wasn't above a little white lie every now and again.
